How do I join?

How can I join energy super in retirement?

Even if you're not working full time, you can still join Energy Super and take advantage of the products and services designed specifically for those who are about to retire, or have already retired.

To start an Energy Super Income Stream you need to be a member of Energy Super and have a balance of at least $10,000.

An Energy Super Income Stream is a flexible and tax effective way of getting a regular income from your super once you've retired permanently from the workforce. Or when you're transitioning to retirement.

What do I do if I'm already an Energy Super member and am retiring or already retired and want to start an Energy Super Income Stream?

Just complete and send to us:

  1. A Benefit payment request Form (for your existing account)
  2. An Energy Super Income Stream Member application Form that can be found in the back of the Energy Super Income Stream PDS
  3. A Tax File Number declaration Form (also available from the Australian Taxation Office).

What do I do if I'm an Energy Super member and I want to start a Transition to Retirement Income?

Just complete and send to us:

  1. An Energy Super Income Stream Member application Form that can be found in the back of the Energy Super Income Stream PDS and indicate that you want to start a Transition to Retirement strategy.
  2. What if I'm an Energy Super member and I want to start an Energy Super Income Stream, but I want to use money from other super accounts?
  3. Then you'll need to transfer the other super money into Energy Super, first by completing and sending to us a Transfer your super Form, or by completing our Online Rollover Tool.
