The Portfolio seeks attractive long-term, risk-adjusted returns by investing in publicly traded U.S. real estate securities. It combines a value-oriented, bottom-up-driven investment strategy and a top-down allocation that seeks diversified exposure to all major asset classes with an overweighting to property markets that are believed to offer the best relative valuation.
The objective of the Portfolio is to provide total returns, net of fees, over the Benchmark (as defined below) by investing in U.S.-listed companies in the real estate industry that the Manager believes offer attractive valuations.
The Portfolio Benchmark is defined as the FTSE EPRA Nareit U.S. Net Total Return Index reported in Australian dollars.
The QIC Government Office Fund has been allocated to Property although it is held within the Defensive alternatives asset class within the fund
