Return Target
This figure is the mean annualised estimate of the ten year return of Energy Super’s MySuper option that is expected to exceed inflation (as measured by the CPI). The return target is based on a 50% probability of achieving the target.
We note that this return target differs from the MySuper investment objective (CPI + 3%) as disclosed in the PDS and elsewhere on this website. That’s because Energy Super has set the objectives for the MySuper option at a level where the probability of achieving the return target exceeds 50%.
-

This is the return on investments minus fees, costs and taxes for a member who has an account balance of $50,000 throughout the year.
-
Level of investment risk
An estimated rating of risk between Low and Very High based on the expected number of negative returns over a 20 year period. The higher the expected return target, the more often you would expect a year of negative returns.
Level of investment risk represents the estimated number of years in a 20 year period that the RSE licensee estimates that negative net investment returns will be incurred.

Statement of fees and other costs
This amount of fees and other costs is for a representative member. A representative member is a member who is fully invested in the MySuper option, who does not incur any activity fees during a year and who has an account balance of $50,000 throughout the year. It will not necessarily be the amount of fees and cost incurred by a particular member. The amount stated includes the fixed administration fee and indirect costs (percentage-based administration costs and investment management costs) but does not include other fees or costs such as switching fees, exit fees, or activity fees.
