    The primary role of the Financial Adviser is to provide phone based advice to members of Energy Super including contributions, investments, insurance and to assist the Member with the implementation of these recommendations.

    The Advice team delivers on being accessible and available, focusing on service excellence and providing quality financial advice to our Members.

    Working closely with our Member Services and Advice teams the Financial Advisor will:

    • deliver phone based advice to members of Energy Super
    • increase member understanding and engagement with Energy Super products and services
    • participate in financial advice projects

    To ensure success in the position you must:

    • have been registered on ASIC’s Financial Advisers Register (FAR) at any time between 1 January 2016 and 1 January 2019
    • be on track to meeting FASEA’s requirements for existing advisers including passing the FASEA exam
    • tertiary qualification, and as a minimum the Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning (with progress towards FASEA education requirements)
    • have successfully completed ASIC's RG146 standard and have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the financial services industry (preferably superannuation).

  • Member Contact Consultant

    Due to exciting internal promotion a Member Contact Consultant is sought to join our busy team on a permanent full time basis. You will be focussed on achieving great outcomes for members by providing high quality general advice and supporting them to make informed decisions and your exceptional interpersonal skills will engage and motivate members and drive leads to personal advice. Success will be built on your positive commitment to achieving quality outcomes and high level of motivation to achieve acquisition and retention targets. You will model positive team work whilst contributing to business improvements and proactive management of daily activities. As a self-directed learner and skilled problem solver you will provide meaningful solutions that maximise customer satisfaction.

    Current RG146 compliance or the willingness to quickly complete the qualification is mandatory and a degree qualification in a relevant field is highly desirable. Experience in a superannuation environment is desirable.

    Your daily duties in this role will include:

    • Inbound and outbound calls to existing and prospective members
    • Engaging with members on improving their retirement outcomes
    • Providing general advice and education on superannuation and insurance topics
    • Actively contributing to business improvements
    • Identifying new business opportunities

  • Fund Development Manager

    About the Role

    The primary function of the Fund Development Manager is to grow the membership and asset base of Energy Super through the recruitment of new employers, members and stakeholders, and work to generate continuous business growth aligned with Energy Super’s growth strategy.

    Reporting to the Manager, Business Development, the responsibilities of the Fund Development Manager required to achieve its objectives are:

    • Develop and implement business development initiatives, programs, techniques and campaigns that contribute to the achievement of 'new to fund' employers
    • Effectively form and leverage strong relationships with existing and new employers, to deliver new member growth
    • Foster and develop existing and new key stakeholder relationships within the portfolio
    • Participate in the expansion of the External Financial Advisor network
    • Manage member education, which involves participation in regular regional visits including the delivery of seminars, meeting with prospective and current members, and toolbox talks
    • Monitor, research and report on competitor trends, industry developments and legislation changes
    • Ensure compliance with all agreed training plans and appropriate industry requirements to maintain accreditation

    About You

    To ensure your success in this role you will have:

    • RG146 qualification (highly regarded or ability to obtain within 3 months of commencement), coupled with a degree in commerce or business, or relevant experience
    • Minimum 3 years in a similar role, preferably within the financial services industry with an emphasis on superannuation
    • Ability to identify and convert new business opportunities
    • Positive attitude and highly motivated to deliver on business objectives, with a commitment to follow through on all leads
    • Proven ability to develop genuine, strong relationships with members, employers and stakeholders
    • Exceptional ability to work autonomously, to organise and manage your own workload, and consistently meet deadlines
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with effective report writing abilities
    • Advanced presentation and interpersonal skills to address large groups of people representing Energy Super
    • Ability to use, maintain and leverage a CRM system
    • Knowledge of relevant legislation, preferably with respect to Superannuation
    • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, particularly in the Microsoft suite of applications

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded industry superannuation fund that will provide exposure to a unique member base, offering a competitive salary with motor vehicle, mobile phone and laptop. The role is based in Brisbane and regular interstate and intrastate travel is required. It is offered initially on a 12 month contract basis.
